Kamilu Rauf, is a Professor in the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Physical Sciences, University of Ilorin, with more than 25 years of university teaching, research, and administrative experience.
He is the current Head of Department, Mathematics, and Chairman, University Admissions/Certificate Screening Committee. His area of research covers inequalities, real and functional analyses. He has over 150 articles in national, and international peer-reviewed journals to his credit.
He has graduated 52 MSc and 16 Ph.D. students, currently supervising 2 MSc and 9 PhD students and also co-supervises students at Federal University Lokoja and Islamia University, Pakistan.
Prof. Rauf is a Fellow and the National Vice-President, Science Association of Nigeria. Chairman, Kwara State Mathematical Association of Nigeria, Editor-in-Chief, Nigerian Journal of Mathematics and Applications (NJMA), Bulletin of Science Association of Nigeria (BSAN), external examiner to several Universities, Member, NUC Accreditation panel, JAMB Resource Person, and Associate Fellow, Institute of Operations Research (INFORN).
