Professor Olubunmi Abidemi Fadipe-Joseph had B.Sc.Mathematics with First Class Honours in 1995  and M.Sc. Mathematics in 1999  from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. She earned Ph.D. Mathematics in 2005 from the University of Ilorin, Nigeria. She contributes in  teaching and supervision of both undergraduate and postgraduate students.  Her University teaching experience across State, Private and Federal Universities in Nigeria started with Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, Nigeria in 1997. From there she crossed to the University of Ilorin, Nigeria in 2001. She was on one-year sabbatical placement at the Landmark University, Omu Aran, Nigeria in 2014 and Covenant University, Ota in 2023.

Olubunmi researches in Complex Analysis- Geometric Function Theory and  Functional Analysis – Selfadjoint Operator Algebras.  Fadipe-Joseph won grants at the National and International levels to conduct research and to attend conferences/workshops.

  • was the First Deputy Director (Academic) Centre for Open and Distance Learning, University of Ilorin

 was awarded Stimulating Sustainable Entrepreneurial  Thinking in Scientists (SSETS) Fellow 2024, Lancaster University, Lancaster, UK. 

 is the immediate past Assistant Secretary of the Nigerian Women in Mathematics.  

is the  Vice-President of  the  Nigerian Mathematical Society; the society of all Mathematicians in Nigeria 

  is  an Ambassador of the International Mathematical Union Committee for Women in Mathematics  representing Nigeria.

 is  the Chair, African Mathematical Union, Commission for Women in Mathematics; for Africa.

 is active in community outreach and promotion of mathematics to young people and women in Nigeria and other African nations. 

is a member of many academic societies and has publications in reputable journals.

  • is a reviewer for some journals
  • gives endowment fund: Fadipe-Joseph Prize in Mathematics for the best Junior Secondary School  female students in secondary schools in Nigeria.

-delivered her Inaugural Lecture titled Mathematics is for All on August 31, 2023 at the University of Ilorin.  

 – is a member of Jesus is Life Church (JAWOM) .

– is a Deaconess, Head of Marriage Committee and Head of the Department of Children and Teenagers in JAWOM.

is the Kwara State Coordinator for Teenagers’ Outreach Ministries (TOM). 

TOM is an interdenominational, non-sectarian, charitable Christian organization with the vision of reaching today’s teenagers. The headquarters is located in Abuja and  have branch offices nation-wide and in other countries. TOM  mentors and instill in teenagers, discipline, so as not to let anyone despise their youthful age, but to build them into good examples in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith and purity.

She is happily married with three children
