Opeyemi Odetunde is a Lecturer I in the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Physical Sciences, University of Ilorin, with over a decade of teaching, research and administrative experience in tertiary education.

His area of specialization is applied mathematics, with particular focus on mathematical modelling and control theory. His research dwells mainly on the mathematical modelling of infectious diseases.

Dr. Odetunde is an active member of Mathematical Association of Nigeria (MAN), Nigerian Mathematical Society, Black in Mathematics Association, Association of Mathematical Sciences and Optimization, and African Society for Biomathematics.
