Department Of Mathematics
Jos Usman Abubakar is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Physical Sciences, University of Ilorin, with over a decade of university teaching, research and administrative experience.
His area of specialization is applied mathematics, with particular focus on fluid mechanics. He has a reasonable number of publications in reputable journals locally, nationally and internationally. He has supervised several students at both masters and Ph.D. level. He also supervises master’s dissertation for AIMS, Cameroon.
Dr. Abubakar is a community man who holds a traditional chieftaincy title in Ilorin Emirate. He is a member of many intellectual bodies among which are; Mathematical Association of Nigeria (MAN) and National Mathematical Society (NMS).
